Terms and Conditions

(The Morning After Cleaners)

Last Updated: 1/18/2026

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern services provided by The Morning After Cleaners (“Company,” “we,” “us,” “our”) to the customer (“you,” “Client”). By booking, requesting, or receiving services from us, you agree to these Terms.

1) Services

We provide post-event, venue, apartment, home, and small office cleaning services in New York City and surrounding areas. Service scope varies by package, quote, and on-site conditions. We reserve the right to refuse service if conditions are unsafe or outside our scope.

2) Quotes, Estimates, and Scope Changes

Quotes may be based on information you provide (photos, size, venue type, mess level, and access).

Final pricing may change if actual conditions differ from what was disclosed (e.g., larger space, heavier soiling, excessive trash, additional rooms, unexpected odors, sticky spills, etc.).

Additional services requested on-site may incur additional charges and may require added time or an additional crew.

3) Scheduling & Arrival Windows

We schedule jobs using an estimated arrival window, not an exact arrival time, unless otherwise confirmed in writing.

Delays may occur due to traffic, building access issues, previous jobs, or weather. We will communicate if timing changes.

4) Client Responsibilities (Access & Preparation)

You agree to:

Provide safe, timely access (keys, codes, concierge coordination, loading dock rules, elevator reservations, and parking instructions).

Ensure utilities are available (running water and electricity).

Secure valuables and fragile items before our arrival.

Inform us of any special building rules, disposal rules, or restricted areas.

Provide permission for waste disposal if we must use venue/building bins.

If we cannot access the space within 15 minutes of arrival due to Client-related issues, additional waiting fees may apply or the appointment may be treated as a late cancellation.

5) Payments, Deposits & Fees

Payment is due as stated on your invoice or booking confirmation. Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due upon completion of service.

We may require a deposit to secure time slots (especially for venues/events). Deposits are applied to your final total.

Accepted payment methods: We accept payments via Stripe, including major credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) and Apple Pay (when available). We also accept Zelle. Payment arrangements outside these methods may be approved in advance.

Unpaid balances may be subject to late fees and collection efforts as permitted by law.

6) Cancellations, Reschedules & No-Shows

Because our schedule is reserved specifically for you:

More than 48 hours notice: reschedule with no fee (deposit policy may still apply).

24–48 hours notice: a reschedule fee may apply.

Less than 24 hours notice or no-show: you may be charged up to 50–100% of the estimated service cost, depending on staffing and travel time.

If we arrive and cannot access the property, it may be treated as a no-show.

(You can edit the exact fee structure to match your business policy.)

7) Add-Ons & Special Requests

Add-ons (e.g., inside appliances, extra trash hauling, after-midnight service, extra restocking, table/chair reset) may require additional time, supplies, or staffing and may be billed separately.

8) Safety, Hazards & Exclusions (We Do NOT Provide)

For crew safety and compliance, we do not provide services involving:

Biohazards (blood, excessive bodily fluids, medical waste, needles/sharps)

Active pest infestations (roaches, bed bugs, rodents)

Mold remediation

Hoarding cleanouts

Exterior/high-rise window cleaning

Heavy lifting or moving furniture over 50 lbs

Construction debris removal unless agreed in writing

Illegal substances or unsafe environments

If hazardous conditions are discovered on-site, we may stop service immediately. You may be charged for time and travel.

9) Trash Removal & Disposal

Standard services include bagging and consolidating trash as agreed. If the job requires dump runs, hauling, or special disposal, additional fees apply. Client is responsible for ensuring disposal is permitted by the building/venue.

10) Quality Standards & Re-Clean Policy

We aim to deliver high-quality results based on the booked scope.

If you are dissatisfied, you must notify us within 24 hours with photos and allow us a reasonable opportunity to address the issue (where feasible).

Our liability is limited as stated in Section 12.

11) Photos & Marketing

We may take before/after photos for quality assurance, training, and documentation. We will not share identifying information.

If you prefer photos not be used for marketing, you must notify us in writing before service.

We may request permission for marketing use, but permission is optional.

12) Damages & Liability Limits

We take reasonable care while cleaning. However, we are not responsible for:

Pre-existing damage, wear-and-tear, poor installation, or fragile/unstable items

Damage caused by hidden defects (e.g., loose fixtures, peeling paint, weak tile grout)

Electronics, cash, jewelry, or valuables not secured by Client

Any damage claim must be reported within 24 hours of service completion with photos.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service visit.

13) Property & Valuables

You are responsible for securing valuables, documents, cash, jewelry, and sensitive items. We are not liable for missing items unless there is clear evidence of wrongdoing.

14) Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failure to perform due to events outside our control (weather, transit shutdowns, building restrictions, emergencies, power outages, etc.).

15) Communications (Calls/Text/Email)

By submitting your information or booking, you consent to receive communications from us (calls, texts, emails) related to your request and service. Message/data rates may apply. You may opt out of marketing messages at any time.

16) Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts located in New York County, NY, unless otherwise required by law.

17) Updates to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. The latest version will be posted on our website with an updated “Last Updated” date.
